Viva con Agua Play 4 Water

Quest
An augmented reality Mario Kart track, top creators and brand mechanics where every lap raises money for water projects.
How do you turn a gaming show into a fundraiser that truly works through the game? For Viva con Agua, Play 4 Water was born: a charity show with top German creators on a custom Mario Kart track in augmented reality. Partners were built directly into the game mechanics. The show was fully sponsored so that every euro would arrive. 165,000 people watched live on Twitch. In the end, €56,000 went to wells in Uganda.
My part
I developed the idea and strategy. The question behind it: how can partner brands be built into the game mechanics so they don't feel like ad breaks and the charity goal stays at the centre?
