Quest

A football club enters the Rift. With Hamburg talent, its own scouting grounds and an attitude.

FC St. Pauli already had an eFootball team. The next step in esports had to fit the club, not just the game. With MTW Gaming, the move into League of Legends followed in 2020. Instead of buying a ready-made roster, the focus was on regional young talent and dedicated scouting grounds. ROCCAT and Turtle Beach supported the talent search, and a clear aim was to make women and girls more visible in esports.

My part

I designed the move into League of Legends and supported its execution. The focus: youth development, community and partners that fit not only the game but also St. Pauli's identity.
